UNDT to distribute handheld assays in Australia

Universal Detection Technology has begun promoting its handheld assays, which are able to detect up to five bioterrorism agents, in Australia.
UNDT will be listed as a Featured U.S. Exporter on Commercial Service's Australia website, thanks to its agreement with the U.S. Department of Commerce's Commercial Service.
"Through our relationship with the U.S. Department of Commerce, we are working to expand our bio-weapons detection equipment offerings in countries that have been targeted by terrorists," Jacques Tizabi, Universal Detection Technology CEO, said. "We will continue to expand our international network through our relationship with the Department of Commerce," continued Tizabi.
The five agent bioterrorism detection kits manufactured by UDNT are used extensively by first responders and private industry throughout the United States.
Both the Department of Defense and the military of the United Kingdom have tested the kits, which have demonstrated no cross-reactivity with near neighbor species as well as no false positives with commonly encountered "white powders."
The kits test for anthrax, ricin, botulinum toxin, plague and SEBs in as little time as three minutes.
UNDT is a developer of both early warning monitor technologies and counterterrorism training programs to protect people from bioterrorism and other infections health threats.
