Scott Habig joins Human Genome Sciences

Scott Habig has joined Human Genome Sciences, Inc., as vice president of sales.

“Scott Habig is exemplary of the top leadership talent with which we are building up our commercial organization," Barry A. Labinger, executive vice president and chief commercial officer at Human Genome Sciences, said. "He brings to HGS more than 25 years of experience as a leader in the sales and marketing of biological and pharmaceutical products for the treatment of autoimmune and infectious diseases.”

Habig, most recently vice president of sales at Centocor Ortho Biotech, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, began his career as a sales representative at Janssen Pharmaceutica, Inc.

After 14 years at Janssen, which saw Habig advance through a series of sales and product management positions, Habig served as vice president of marketing at Ethicon Endo Surgery before moving to Centocor.

Habig worked for nine years at Centocor and Centocor Ortho Biotech, holding a number of key leadership positions, including vice president of sales and marketing.

Habig holds a bachelor of arts degree in mass media communications from the University of Akron - Ohio.
